Inside a Real Korean Apartment — Vocabulary & Culture from Our Home Tour Vlog (Ep.1)
A real Seoul apartment, room by room — no script, no set.
팅쌤 has taught Korean for over 9,000 hours and has been an Airbnb Superhost in Seoul for a decade — which means she's watched hundreds of foreign guests react to her home for the first time. In this episode, she opens her own front door and walks through every room of her real Seoul apartment.
The tour follows the same order that surprises most first-time guests: shoes off at the 현관 (entrance) before you even step past the doorway, a living room built around an 80-inch TV and a heated 온돌 floor that Koreans have lived on for over 2,000 years, and a kitchen with two refrigerators — one of them just for kimchi — plus a rice cooker that talks.
From there it's her home office (and the 2025 Airbnb Best Host award sitting on the shelf), the master bedroom where the family still co-sleeps, a small room that quietly turned into the baby's room, and a bathroom with no bathtub at all — just a floor drain and bathroom slippers. It's the exact list of things her foreign guests always ask about first.
