Grammar Point

사동 (이·히·리·기·우)
= causative — you MAKE it happen
먹다 (eat) → 먹이다 — to feed
자다 (sleep) → 재우다 — to put (someone) to sleep
알다 (know) → 알리다 — to let (someone) know
Any verb → -게 하다 — to make / let (someone) do ___

💡 Day 71: 물고기가 먹혀요 (passive). Day 72: 제가 아이에게 밥을 먹여요 (causative). Same word, opposite direction!

Example Sentences 🎧

I feed the child.
2. 엄마가 아이를 재워요.
Mom puts the child to sleep.

With my humor, I made my friends laugh.
