Grammar Point

피동 (이·히·리·기)
= passive — it happens TO the subject
보다 (see) 보이다 — to be seen / visible
듣다 (hear) 들리다 — to be heard
쓰다 (write / use) 쓰이다 — to be written / used
먹다 (eat) 먹히다 — to be eaten

💡 Remember 열려 있어요 / 닫혀 있어요 from Day 56? That's already 피동!

Example Sentences 🎧

1. 저기 산이 보여요.
I can see a mountain over there.
2. 밖에서 음악이 들려요.
Music can be heard outside.
3. 이 단어가 자주 쓰여요.
This word is often used.
