= pretend to ___
Verb (present) → -는 척하다 — 알다 → 아는 척하다
Verb (past) → -(으)ㄴ 척하다 — 이해하다 → 이해한 척하다
Adjective → -(으)ㄴ 척하다 — 괜찮다 → 괜찮은 척하다

After work, I saw my boss on the subway, but I pretended not to notice.
